INFORMATION TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18232255 titled 'INFORMATION TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

- This patent application describes a method and apparatus for transmitting information to address issues related to high delay and high jitter caused by the inability to schedule and transmit high priority data frames in a timely manner. - The method involves sending a certain number of first data packets in a first data frame. - When a specific condition is met, a second data frame with a higher priority is sent, containing a certain number of second data packets, before the remaining first data packets in the first data frame are sent. - The first condition for sending the second data frame is that its priority must be higher than the priority of the first data frame. - The first data frame consists of two sets of first data packets, denoted as N1 and N2 respectively. - N1, N2, and M are positive integers that determine the number of first and second data packets to be sent in each frame.

Original Abstract Submitted

This application discloses an information transmission method and apparatus, to resolve a problem of a high delay and high jitter of information caused by the fact that a data frame with a high priority or the like cannot be scheduled and transmitted in time. The method includes: sending NI first data packets in a first data frame; and when a first condition is met, sending M second data packets in a second data frame before N2 first data packets in the first data frame are sent. The first condition includes that a priority of the second data frame is higher than a priority of the first data frame. The first data frame includes the N1 first data packets and the N2 first data packets, and N1, N2, and M are positive integers.
