TOUCH SENSOR AND DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18200535 titled 'TOUCH SENSOR AND DISPLAY DEVICE
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a touch sensor with multiple electrode units and a strain gauge.
- The touch sensor includes a base layer, first electrode unit, second electrode units, and a first strain gauge.
- The first electrode unit consists of touch electrodes arranged on the base layer in a specific direction and connected to each other.
- The second electrode units are spaced apart from each other and consist of touch electrodes arranged in a different direction and connected to each other.
- Each second touch electrode has an opening.
- The first strain gauge includes resistance lines connected to each other in the specific direction.
- Each resistance line is placed in an opening in a specific row among the openings.
Original Abstract Submitted
A touch sensor includes a base layer, a first electrode unit, second electrode units, and a first strain gauge. The first electrode unit includes first touch electrodes arranged on the base layer along a first direction and electrically connected to each other along the first direction. The second electrode units are spaced apart from one another along the first direction. Each of the second electrode units includes second touch electrodes arranged on the base layer along a second direction intersecting the first direction and electrically connected to each other along the second direction. Each of the second touch electrodes includes a first opening. The first strain gauge includes first resistance lines electrically connected to each other along the first direction. Each of the first resistance lines is disposed in a respective first opening disposed in a first row among the first openings.
