FUEL CELL SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 18127139 Titled 'FUEL CELL SYSTEM'

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a fuel cell system that consists of two batteries and a step-down device. The second battery has a higher voltage than the first battery. The system also includes a control device and a bypass valve.

When the voltage from the first battery to the control device is equal to or lower than a certain threshold value, the control device uses electric power from the step-down device to open the bypass valve. This process is called "opening degree learning" for the bypass valve.

Original Abstract Submitted

A fuel cell system includes a first battery, a second battery having a second battery voltage larger than the first battery voltage, and a step-down device for stepping down a voltage of the second battery. When the voltage supplied from the first battery to the control device is equal to or lower than the voltage threshold value, the control device supplies electric power to the bypass valve from the step-down device to perform opening degree learning for the bypass valve.
