Vehicle and Method of Controlling Vehicle - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18065063 titled 'Vehicle and Method of Controlling Vehicle
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes an embodiment vehicle that has a communicator, sensor, user interface device, and controller.
- The vehicle's communicator can communicate with a server.
- The sensor is used to gather information about the vehicle's surroundings.
- The user interface device allows the user to input destination information.
- The controller is responsible for generating routes based on the destination information received.
- The controller can generate a first route that does not include an exclusive lane from the vehicle's current position to the destination.
- However, if certain conditions are met (maximum occupancy of the vehicle and number of occupants), the controller can generate a second route that includes the exclusive lane.
- The purpose of this innovation is to provide the vehicle with the ability to dynamically choose the most efficient route based on occupancy and traffic conditions.
Original Abstract Submitted
An embodiment vehicle includes a communicator configured to communicate with a server, a sensor, a user interface device, and a controller configured to generate a plurality of routes based on destination information received through the user interface device, wherein the controller is configured to generate a first route not including an exclusive lane from a position of the vehicle to a destination, and in response to information on a maximum occupancy of the vehicle satisfying a first preset condition and information on a number of occupants in the vehicle acquired by the sensor satisfying a second preset condition, generate a second route including the exclusive lane from the position of the vehicle to the destination.
