DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18018934 titled 'DISPLAY DEVICE

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a display device with a substrate, electrodes, a reflective layer, and light emitting elements.

  • The display device has a substrate with multiple pixels.
  • It includes a first electrode and a second electrode that are separated from each other.
  • An insulating reflective layer is placed on top of the electrodes.
  • The device also has multiple light emitting elements that are connected to the electrodes.
  • The insulating reflective layer consists of multiple first and second layers with different refractive indexes.
  • The first and second layers are stacked alternately.

Original Abstract Submitted

A display device includes a substrate including a plurality of pixels, a first electrode and a second electrode disposed on the substrate and spaced apart from each other, an insulating reflective layer disposed on the first electrode and the second electrode, and a plurality of light emitting elements disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode and electrically connected to the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the insulating reflective layer includes a plurality of first layers and the plurality of second layers having different refractive indexes, and the the plurality of first layers and the the plurality of second layers are alternately stacked with each other.
