LIGHT LAYER 1 MEASUREMENT REPORT - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17664703 titled 'LIGHT LAYER 1 MEASUREMENT REPORT
Simplified Explanation
The patent application is related to wireless communication and specifically focuses on a user equipment (UE) performing measurements of reference signals associated with a layer 1 (L1) measurement report. The UE then transmits a light L1 measurement report based on the measurement of the reference signals, satisfying certain conditions. The light L1 measurement report is either a simplified version of a previously transmitted normal L1 measurement report or contains different information altogether.
- The patent application is about wireless communication and measurement of reference signals.
- A user equipment (UE) performs measurements of reference signals associated with a layer 1 (L1) measurement report.
- The UE transmits a light L1 measurement report based on the measurement of the reference signals.
- The light L1 measurement report is based on a previously transmitted normal L1 measurement report.
- The light L1 measurement report either omits some information from the normal L1 measurement report or contains different information.
- The light L1 measurement report is transmitted based on certain conditions being satisfied.
- The patent application describes various other aspects related to this innovation.
Original Abstract Submitted
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may perform a measurement of one or more reference signals associated with a layer 1 (L1) measurement report. The UE may transmit a light L1 measurement report associated with the measurement of the one or more reference signals based at least in part on the measurement of the one or more reference signals satisfying one or more light L1 measurement report conditions, wherein the light L1 measurement report is based at least in part on a previously transmitted normal L1 measurement report, and wherein the light L1 measurement report at least one of: omits at least some information that was transmitted in the previously transmitted normal L1 measurement report, or contains different information than the previously transmitted normal L1 measurement report. Numerous other aspects are described.
