UPLINK TRANSMISSION DURING A CELL SLEEP MODE OPERATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 17659439 Titled 'UPLINK TRANSMISSION DURING A CELL SLEEP MODE OPERATION'

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a wireless communication system where a user device (UE) receives information about the uplink resources of a cell from a network entity. The UE also receives an indication that the cell is in sleep mode, during which only a subset of the uplink resources are available. Based on this information, the UE can transmit communications using the available uplink resources while the cell is in sleep mode. The abstract mentions that there are other aspects of the disclosure that are described but not specified in detail.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a configuration of uplink resources associated with a cell. The UE may receive an indication that the cell is in a sleep mode, wherein at least a subset of the uplink resources occurs when the cell is in the sleep mode. The UE may transmit one or more communications based at least in part on the configuration of the uplink resources associated with the cell and the indication that the cell is in the sleep mode. Numerous other aspects are described.
