a 3d printed grass replica(s) for installation outdoors in place of natural grass. the replicas include 3d printed grass of desired density, size, and blade size on foundation slabs or sections. the slabs can be installed outdoors and provide aesthetics of a lawn, ground, and the like while requiring little maintenance. in some embodiments, a process of ordering 3d printed grass replicas is disclosed. the process begins by providing natural grass photographs by a user using a mobile application to a manufacturer, processing user-provided grass photographs into 3d models capturing natural variations in grass attributes. the process includes automated selection of 3d printing material and technology and printing grass on the foundation slabs or sections.
