when an ecu determines that a gas concentration within a battery pack is increasing, the ecu performs processing including: obtaining positional information; obtaining an amount of insolation; and performing gas exhaust processing when the ecu determines that a vehicle is traveling, determines that the position of the vehicle is a position where there is no cover above the vehicle, and determines that the position of the vehicle is a position where exhaust has no influence.
