a metal recovery method includes causing a metal recovery device including a power source, an electronic load, an electrolytic solution, a first tank that includes an anode, a first supply port for ho and a first discharge port and that is immersed in the electrolytic solution, the anode being connected to the power source and the electronic load and containing at least co, and a second tank that includes a cathode, a second supply port for ho and a second discharge port and that is immersed in the electrolytic solution, the cathode being connected to the power source and the electronic load, to recover co eluted from the anode by maintaining voltage by the power source and the electronic load such that a potential of the anode is higher than a potential of the cathode.
