Inventor(s): Rene Sanchez Nava of Lathrop CA US for tesla, inc., Markus Boehm of Fremont CA US for tesla, inc., Yongquan Yu of Kyle TX US for tesla, inc.
IPC Code(s): B62D27/06, B62D29/00, F16B5/06
CPC Code(s): B62D27/06
Abstract: a clip secures a component to a body part. the body part is made from a die-cast material and have a surface feature. the clip can include a first engagement feature configured to engage the component so as to secure the clip to the component and a second engagement feature configured to engage the surface feature of the body part. the clip remains engaged with the surface feature when the component is disengaged from the first engagement feature of the clip.

CPC Code(s): G06V10/25
Abstract: systems and methods for enhanced object detection for autonomous vehicles based on field of view. an example method includes obtaining an image from an image sensor of one or more image sensors positioned about a vehicle. a field of view for the image is determined, with the field of view being associated with a vanishing line. a crop portion corresponding to the field of view is generated from the image, with a remaining portion of the image being downsampled. information associated with detected objects depicted in the image is outputted based on a convolutional neural network, with detecting objects being based on performing a forward pass through the convolutional neural network of the crop portion and the remaining portion.

CPC Code(s): H01M10/6568
Abstract: a cooling system is disclosed. the cooling system can include a flow path including a main path and a secondary path. the secondary path can have an inlet and an outlet. the inlet can be in fluid communication with a first portion of the main path and the outlet can be in fluid communication with a second portion of the main path. the cooling system can include a passive fluid flow controller. the passive fluid flow controller can be positioned in the main path between the first portion and the second portion. the passive fluid flow controller can adjust an amount of a coolant that is routed to the secondary path from the main path through the inlet of the secondary path. the passive fluid flow controller can impede a particle from entering the secondary path via the inlet of the secondary path.
