various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for sidelink carrier selection. the method which may be performed by a first user equipment includes: determining, among a set of sidelink carriers configured to the first user equipment, one or more carriers for a sidelink transmission, based on carrier selection performed by the first user equipment itself or according to an instruction from a base station. in accordance with an exemplary embodiment, the method further includes: performing the sidelink transmission to a second user equipment on the one or more carriers determined for the sidelink transmission.
