embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for multicast/broadcast service (mbs). a method performed by a user equipment (ue) comprises receiving a paging message comprising a first multicast/broadcast service (mbs) session identifier (id) from a radio access network node. the method further comprises transmitting a service request to the radio access network node in response to the paging message. the service request comprises the first mbs session id and first information indicating an identifier (id) of a first protocol data unit (pdu) session associated to a first mbs session identified by the first mbs session id.
