methods and apparatus are provided. in an example aspect, a method in a first wireless communication device of transmitting data is provided. the method includes determining that each of a plurality of frequency ranges is free for a transmission by the first wireless communication device, selecting one or more of the frequency ranges, and transmitting the data using one or more frequency ranges other than the selected one or more frequency ranges.
