a heating cooker includes a heating cooking compartment, a door, and a heater unit. the heating cooking compartment has an opening in a front wall. the door opens and closes the opening. the heater unit is disposed on an upper wall of the heating cooking compartment. the heater unit includes a heater configured to generate heat, a heat reflection plate covering an upper side of the heater, and a thermal shield plate covering an upper side of the heat reflection plate. an air layer is provided between the heat reflection plate and the thermal shield plate.
