a display device including: a display; a memory storing instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the one or more instructions to: control the display to display a first image based on receiving the first image, the first image including a first sub-image on a first information area of the first image; control the display to display a second image, different from the first image, based on receiving the second image; determine a plurality of candidate areas of the second image, based on a first aspect ratio of the first image, a second aspect ratio of the second image, and location information of the first information area; determine priorities of the plurality of candidate areas based on the location information of the first information area and the second aspect ratio; and identify, based on the priorities, a second information area corresponding to the first information area.
