a display device includes a processor configured to generate a region-of-interest image of a current frame based on a background image of the current frame and a line-of-sight region of a user, and a timing controller configured to output the background image and the region-of-interest image to a display panel, wherein the timing controller comprises a buffer storing at least one of the background image and the region-of-interest image, and a reception controller configured to overwrite the region-of-interest image to the buffer based on position information of the region-of-interest image in the background image and to update the at least one of the background image and the region-of-interest image in the buffer.
