DISPLAY APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240231442 titled 'DISPLAY APPARATUS

The display apparatus described in the patent application consists of a housing with a base, a motor, a rotating plate, a substrate, inorganic light-emitting elements, and a wireless module for power and data transmission.

  • The rotating plate on the base holds the substrate with bar-shaped inorganic light-emitting elements extending radially from the center.
  • The wireless module in the housing includes a first coil and a second coil that generates an induced current due to current flow in the first coil.

Potential Applications: - This technology could be used in advertising displays, digital signage, and decorative lighting applications. - It may also find use in entertainment venues, museums, and retail environments for creating dynamic visual experiences.

Problems Solved: - The display apparatus offers a wireless solution for controlling inorganic light-emitting elements, eliminating the need for complex wiring systems. - The rotating plate allows for versatile positioning of the light-emitting elements, enabling customizable and engaging displays.

Benefits: - Wireless control simplifies installation and maintenance processes. - The radial arrangement of light-emitting elements offers unique design possibilities and enhanced visual impact.

Commercial Applications: "Wireless Rotating Display Apparatus for Dynamic Visual Presentations in Retail and Entertainment Environments"

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the wireless module transmit power and data to control the inorganic light-emitting elements? 2. What are the advantages of using bar-shaped inorganic light-emitting elements in this display apparatus?

Original Abstract Submitted

a display apparatus includes a housing including a base; a motor coupled to the base; a rotating plate on one side of the base; a substrate on the rotating plate; inorganic light-emitting elements on the substrate, the inorganic light-emitting elements being bar shaped and extending in a radial direction from a center of the rotating plate; and a wireless module provided in the housing, the wireless module being configured to transmit and receive power and data to control the inorganic light-emitting elements, wherein the wireless module includes: a first coil; and a second coil inside the first coil or surrounding the first coil, the second coil being configured to generate an induced current due to current flowing in the first coil.
