a portable, battery-powered liquid sprayer includes a supply tank assembly, a base assembly, and a wand. the supply tank assembly holds a liquid to be sprayed. the base assembly is selectively coupled to the supply tank assembly. the base assembly receives and supports a motor, a pump that is driven by the motor, and a rechargeable battery that powers the motor. based on a signal provided by a pressure switch that detects an outlet pressure of the pump, the motor drives the pump to drive the liquid from the supply tank assembly and to eject the liquid from the hose. the battery is removably coupled to the base assembly and is operable to supply power to the motor. a wand is connected to an outlet of the pump via a flexible hose whereby the wand is in fluid communication with the supply tank assembly.
