a sensor has a sensor element, a sensor data output, a data interface, sensor electronics, and an evaluation apparatus. the sensor element is configured to determine a physical measured variable. the sensor electronics are configured to convert the physical measured variable into sensor data that are output via the sensor data output. the evaluation apparatus is configured to determine a grade of the sensor data based on at least one parameter and to output the grade using the data interface.
