a method of beamforming includes collecting data related to a connection between a first user equipment and a network. the method further includes determining whether the first user equipment is eligible for digital beamforming. the method further includes determining, in response to a determination that the first user equipment is ineligible for digital beamforming, whether a moving speed of the first user equipment is above a first threshold value. the method further includes using broad beam beamforming for the connection between the first user equipment and the network in response to a determination that the first user equipment is moving faster than the first threshold value.
