SIGNALING FOR DYNAMIC SUBCHANNEL OPERATION (DSO)
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20250113339 titled 'SIGNALING FOR DYNAMIC SUBCHANNEL OPERATION (DSO)
Original Abstract Submitted
this disclosure provides methods, components, devices, and systems for signaling for dynamic subchannel operation (dso). some aspects more specifically relate to indicating a set of subchannels supported for dso. in some implementations, a wireless station (sta) may transmit a frame indicating subchannels supported for dso (for example, for a specific link). an access point (ap) may receive the frame and may assign, using a control frame, one or more frequency resources of a subchannel of the set of subchannels to the sta for dso. the sta may dynamically switch to the subchannel and may communicate via the subchannel while operating in a dso mode. in some implementations, the sta may transmit capabilities information indicating that the sta supports the dso mode. additionally, or alternatively, the sta may dynamically enable or disable the dso mode using action frames or aggregated-control (a-control) subfields. the ap may support similar signaling.
