approaches for implementing data collection for a task involving an artificial intelligence/machine learning (ai/ml) model present with a user equipment (ue) are described. in one example, a data collection request may be received from the ue. the received data collection request may include an identifier of the task involving the ai/ml model, provided in the ue, for which data is to be collected. thereafter, a measurement configuration may be determined corresponding to the identifier of the task. subsequently, a response message may be transmitted to the ue. the response message may include a measurement identifier corresponding to the measurement configuration.
