a multilayer ceramic capacitor includes a multilayer body and external electrodes, which each include a base electrode layer, an electrically conductive resin layer, and a plated layer. the electrically conductive resin layer at a ridge portion of the multilayer body has a film thickness of about 0.8 �m or more and about 8 �m or less. the electrically conductive resin layer includes a peeling region separating from the multilayer body at least one extending portion. the peeling region extends from an end portion of the electrically conductive resin layer adjacent to a middle of the multilayer body in a length direction to before an end of the base electrode layer adjacent to the middle of the multilayer body in the length direction. the peeling region has a dimension of about 5 �m or more in the length direction.
