a battery information management system includes a communication device for receiving information about a battery rack from a rack battery management system (rbms) for controlling the battery rack, a switch connected to the communication device through a short-range communication network and for receiving the information about the battery rack from the communication device, and a controller for receiving the information about the battery rack from the switch. information of all battery cells may be collected and managed regardless of communication speed and data capacity. thus, when abnormality occurs in the system, a battery cell that causes the abnormality may be easily found and only the found battery cell/module may be replaced, thereby saving repair and maintenance costs.
