REFORM PIN - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240234787 titled 'REFORM PIN

Simplified Explanation: The reform pin in this patent has a thicker end on the head portion to reduce contact with the inner surface of an electrode assembly, making it easier to remove without lifting the separation membrane. The vertex of the head portion is also inclined to one side, allowing for easy insertion without causing a lifting phenomenon in the electrode assembly.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Thicker end on the head portion of the reform pin to reduce contact with the inner surface of the electrode assembly.
  • Inclined vertex of the head portion to facilitate easy insertion without causing a lifting phenomenon in the electrode assembly.

Potential Applications: This technology can be used in various industries where reform pins are required for assembly and disassembly processes.

Problems Solved: This technology addresses the issue of lifting the separation membrane when removing the reform pin from the electrode assembly.

Benefits:

  • Stable removal of the reform pin without damaging the separation membrane.
  • Easy insertion and removal process for the reform pin.

Commercial Applications: Potential commercial applications include manufacturing industries that use electrode assemblies and reform pins in their production processes.

Prior Art: Readers can start searching for prior art related to this technology in patents or research papers on reform pins and electrode assembly technologies.

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on the latest research developments in reform pins and electrode assembly technologies to enhance the efficiency and performance of this innovation.

Questions about Reform Pins: 1. What are the common challenges faced when using reform pins in electrode assemblies? 2. How does the design of this reform pin improve the assembly and disassembly processes in electrode assemblies?

Original Abstract Submitted

a reform pin is provided in which one end of a head portion extending from a body portion is provided thicker than the body portion, so that a contact surface with an inner surface of an electrode assembly is reduced when an inserted reform pin is removed from the electrode assembly, thereby stably removing the reform pin without lifting of a separation membrane. in addition, a vertex of the head portion is formed to be inclined to one side, such that it is possible to provide a high-performance and highly reliable reform pin that may be easily inserted while avoiding the separation membrane in which a lifting phenomenon occurs when the reform pin is inserted into the hollow portion of the electrode assembly.
