an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a display device comprising: a communication unit for communicating with the outside; a display including a display area for outputting contents; a motor for controlling the display so that a partial area of the display area is exposed to the outside; and a controller for controlling the communication unit, the display, and the motor, wherein the controller performs control to output a first content on a first partial view in a state in which the display is the first partial view, changes the display to a second partial view when an event occurrence is received, and performs control to output a second content on the second partial view, wherein the second partial view has a display area which is exposed to the outside and is larger than that of the first partial view.
