a display device of a computing device displays a graphical user interface (gui) including a system path area including a depiction of a first hierarchy path including a top level of a hierarchy of a plurality of gaming devices, a first sub-level of the hierarchy, and a plurality of nested sub-levels of the hierarchy therebetween. the gui further includes an object group area including depictions of a first plurality of objects in the first sub-level, each object including one of a gaming device in the first sub-level; and a sub-level below the first sub-level. in response to receipt of an alert condition indication relating to a first gaming device in an alert condition, a depiction is displayed of an alert relating to a first object of the first plurality of objects, including the first gaming device or a second sub-level containing the first gaming device in the alert condition.
