TRUSTED ATTESTATION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240346127 titled 'TRUSTED ATTESTATION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS
The abstract of the patent application describes a method for trusted attestation and a communication apparatus. The method involves a first node obtaining information about a blockchain and using this information to determine attestation information, which can be used to remotely attest whether the node is trusted. The information about the blockchain can serve as a common random number for security measurements by multiple nodes.
- The method involves a first node obtaining information about a blockchain.
- The information is used to determine attestation information for remote trust verification.
- The blockchain information can be used as a common random number for security measurements.
- The attestation information can be verified by any verifier for one-time measurement and multiple verifications.
- This eliminates the need for a separate challenge-response procedure with each verifier.
Potential Applications: - Secure communication systems - Trust verification in distributed networks - Blockchain-based security protocols
Problems Solved: - Ensuring trust in remote nodes - Simplifying security measurements in distributed systems
Benefits: - Enhanced trust and security in communication networks - Streamlined verification processes for multiple nodes - Improved reliability in distributed systems
Commercial Applications: Title: Secure Communication Systems with Trusted Attestation This technology can be applied in industries such as: - Financial services for secure transactions - Healthcare for confidential data exchange - Government agencies for secure communication channels
Questions about Trusted Attestation: 1. How does the method use blockchain information for security measurements? The method uses information from a blockchain as a common random number for security measurements by multiple nodes, enhancing trust verification processes.
2. What are the benefits of using attestation information for remote trust verification? Attestation information allows for remote trust verification without the need for establishing separate challenge-response procedures, simplifying the verification process.
Original Abstract Submitted
a trusted attestation method and a communication apparatus are provided. the method includes: a first node obtains information about a first blockchain, and the first node determines attestation information based on the information about the first blockchain. the attestation information is used to remotely attest whether the first node is trusted. the information about the first blockchain may be used as a common random number that is generated by the first blockchain based on a consensus and that can be used by a plurality of nodes. therefore, the information about the first blockchain may be used as a challenge value for performing security measurement by the plurality of nodes. the attestation information may be verified by any verifier to implement measurement for one time and verification for a plurality of times, so that the first node does not need to establish a separate “challenge-response” procedure with each verifier.
