this disclosure provides a data transmission method and a communication apparatus. the method includes: a first device receives first scheduling indication information and second scheduling indication information from a second device, where the first scheduling indication information indicates a first transmission resource from the second device to the first device, and the second scheduling indication information indicates a second transmission resource from the first device to a third device. the first device receives transmission data from the second device on the first transmission resource. when the transmission data is successfully received by the first device, the first device sends the transmission data to the third device on the second transmission resource.
