DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240267157 titled 'DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation: This patent application describes a method and device for transmitting data in short-range wireless communication. The master device sends data to slave devices in event cycles, with each cycle consisting of two sub-cycles. In the first sub-cycle, the master device transmits data to each slave device and receives feedback on the data receiving status. The second sub-cycle dynamically configures retransmission slots for each slave device based on the feedback from the first sub-cycle, optimizing the use of air interface resources.

  • The method involves a master device transmitting data to slave devices in event cycles.
  • Each event cycle includes a first sub-cycle for data transmission and a second sub-cycle for retransmission slot configuration.
  • Retransmission slots are dynamically configured for each slave device in the second sub-cycle based on feedback from the first sub-cycle.
  • This approach helps efficiently utilize air interface resources and reduce wastage.

Potential Applications: This technology can be applied in various short-range wireless communication systems, such as Bluetooth and Zigbee, where data transmission to multiple slave devices is required.

Problems Solved: - Inefficient use of air interface resources in short-range wireless communication systems. - Lack of optimized retransmission strategies for data transmission to multiple slave devices.

Benefits: - Improved efficiency in data transmission to multiple slave devices. - Reduction in wastage of air interface resources. - Enhanced performance of short-range wireless communication systems.

Commercial Applications: The technology can be utilized in IoT devices, smart home systems, industrial automation, and other applications requiring reliable and efficient short-range wireless communication.

Prior Art: For prior art related to this technology, researchers can explore patents and publications in the field of short-range wireless communication, specifically focusing on data transmission methods and apparatus.

Frequently Updated Research: Researchers can stay updated on advancements in short-range wireless communication technologies, specifically in the optimization of data transmission to multiple slave devices.

Questions about Short-Range Wireless Data Transmission: 1. What are the key challenges in optimizing data transmission to multiple slave devices in short-range wireless communication systems? 2. How does the dynamic configuration of retransmission slots improve the efficiency of data transmission in this technology?

Original Abstract Submitted

this application discloses a data transmission method and apparatus, and relates to the field of short-range wireless communication technologies. in this application, a master device transmits data with slave devices based on an event cycle. each event cycle includes a first sub-cycle and a second sub-cycle. in the first sub-cycle, the master device transmits data to each slave device, and receives indication information fed back by each slave device based on a data receiving status of the slave device. a retransmission slot is dynamically configured for each slave device in the second sub-cycle based on the indication information of the slave device in the first sub-cycle, so that retransmission slots corresponding to all slave devices in the second sub-cycle can be consecutive slots, and remaining slots in the second sub-cycle are also consecutive slots. this helps effectively use the remaining slots and reduce a waste of air interface resources.
