embodiments of the present invention disclose a packet processing method and a related apparatus, applied to a network device. the method includes: receiving a first packet sent by a client, where the first packet includes target identification information, the target identification information is used to identify a target destination, the target destination is a destination selected from n candidate destinations by the network device for the client, and n is an integer greater than 0; and determining the target destination based on the target identification information, and forwarding the first packet to the target destination, to trigger the target destination to process the first packet.
