embodiments of this application provide a video processing method and apparatus. the method includes: receiving, by a first device, an operation of enabling photographing in a movie mode, where obtaining, by the first device, a first image sequence based on a camera in response to the operation of enabling photographing; performing, by the first device, encoding based on the first image sequence and first dynamic metadata corresponding to the first brightness scene, to obtain a first hdr video; obtaining, by a second device, the first hdr video from the first device; adjusting, by the second device, a brightness of the first hdr video based on a preset brightness, to obtain a second hdr video; and playing, by the second device, the second hdr video.
