a computer-implemented method for controlling energy consumption in an extended reality (xr) space involves accessing an image of a real-world space and using image recognition to identify an energy-related object. the method stores the object's 3d coordinates and retrieves specific energy information, including real-time or historical consumption data measured by a device, independent of generic family or model data. using the stored coordinates, the method generates a virtual or mixed reality image by overlaying a computer-generated indicator near the object. when a user selects the indicator, the method displays the specific energy information within the xr environment. the method also enables the user to adjust the object's energy consumption via a wired or wireless communication interface, allowing real-time control. this approach integrates image recognition, data visualization, and remote control to streamline energy management within an xr environment.
