a printing system includes: a data controller; and a printing controller. the data controller includes a transmission control unit configured to set, as a group, a piece of image data corresponding to a predetermined unit so as to satisfy a condition and perform transmission control for transmitting data corresponding to the group to the printing controller, wherein the condition is that a size of an image in a conveyance direction is greater than or equal to a threshold.
