disclosed are methods, systems, and computer-readable medium to perform operations including: generating a registration request comprising a capability of the ue to serve as a gateway for a personal internet-of-things network (pin); sending the registration request to a base station serving the ue; receiving, from the base station, a registration accept message comprising a pin gateway authorization; and initiating establishment of the pin with at least one other device, wherein the ue serves as the gateway of the pin to the base station.
