a computer system facilitates participation in a communication session with one or more participants, including displaying a spatial representation of one of the participants. in response to detecting that a virtual object is in spatial conflict with a first portion of the spatial representation, the computer system displays the portion of the virtual object in spatial conflict with the spatial representation with reduced visual prominence compared to the visual prominence of a portion of the virtual object not in spatial conflict with the spatial representation.
