Abstract: in response to determining that continuous data protection is to be enabled for a particular table of a database service, a service component verifies that automated transmission of change records of the table to a log-structured journal has been configured. a given change record comprises a before-image and an after-image associated with a committed database write, and is assigned a unique sequence number. in response to a determination to restore the table as of a specified point in time, a restore record set is identified from the journal with respect to a selected snapshot of the table. the restore record set includes change records which are not represented in the snapshot and are to be represented in the restored table. a restore result table is created using the selected snapshot and the restore record set.

CPC Code(s): G06F16/183
Abstract: a file system manager implemented at a provider network identifies a storage device of a first group of storage devices of a provider network as an initial location of a file system object. based on an access metric associated with the object, the file system manager initiates a transfer of contents of the object to a second storage device of a different storage device group, without receiving a client request specifying the transfer. in response to an access request received via a file system programmatic interface, contents of the object are provided from the second storage device. based on a second access metric, the object is transferred back to the first group of storage devices.

CPC Code(s): G06T7/85
Abstract: some embodiments of the invention provide a novel method for training a multi-layer node network. some embodiments train the multi-layer network using a set of inputs generated with random misalignments incorporated into the training data set. in some embodiments, the training data set is a synthetically generated training set based on a three-dimensional ground truth model as it would be sensed by a sensor array from different positions and with different deviations from ideal alignment and placement. some embodiments dynamically generate training data sets when a determination is made that more training is required. training data sets, in some embodiments, are generated based on training data sets for which the multi-layer node network has produced bad results.

CPC Code(s): G10L15/183
Abstract: techniques for facilitating natural language interactions with visual interactive content are described. during a build time, a system analyzes various websites and applications relating to a particular user goal to understand website and application navigation and information relating to the user goal. the learned information is used to store configuration data. during runtime, when a user request performance of an action, the system engages in a dialog with the user to complete the user's goal. the system uses the stored configuration data to determine actions to be performed at a website or application to complete the user's goal, and determines system responses to present to the user to facilitate completion of the goal. such system responses may request information from the user, may inform the user of information displayed at the website or application, etc.

IPC Code(s): G10L15/22, G10L15/02, G10L15/08, G10L15/187
CPC Code(s): G10L15/22
Abstract: systems and methods for preemptive wakeword detection are disclosed. for example, a first part of a wakeword is detected from audio data representing a user utterance. when this occurs, on-device speech processing is initiated prior to when the entire wakeword is detected. when the entire wakeword is detected, results from the on-device speech processing and/or the audio data is sent to a speech processing system to determine a responsive action to be performed by the device. when the entire wakeword is not detected, on-device processing is canceled and the device refrains from sending the audio data to the speech processing system.
