Patent Applications by Amazon Technologies, Inc.

20250130980. EVENT DEDUPLICATION USING MULTIPLE STAGES AND CONCURRENT PROCESSING_simplified_abstract_(amazon technologies, inc.)

Inventor(s): Karl Eric Anderson of Columbia MD US for amazon technologies, inc., Jacob A. Niebloom of Baltimore MD US for amazon technologies, inc., Kelly Anne Rooker of Ellicott City MD US for amazon technologies, inc., Martin C Stonebraker of Sparks MD US for amazon technologies, inc., Nebi Mert Aydin of Odenton MD US for amazon technologies, inc.

IPC Code(s): G06F16/215, G06F16/23

CPC Code(s): G06F16/215

Abstract: an event deduplication system may efficiently perform event deduplication (identifying “new” or “unique” events that might be an anomaly) by using a first stage that has multiple first stage processes running in parallel (e.g., at different data centers) and a single second stage that has a second stage process that receives and processes events from the different first stage processes. the second stage process updates a global state (e.g., lookup table) and periodically publishes the global state to the first stage processes to update their local state. when the second stage process receives a possible new event from a first stage process, it may more accurately determine whether the event is actually a new event based on the global state.

20250131317. GENERATION OF VERIFIABLE PRIVATE RANDOMNESS USING DISTRIBUTION OF QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT_simplified_abstract_(amazon technologies, inc.)

Inventor(s): Antia Lamas Linares of Austin TX US for amazon technologies, inc.

IPC Code(s): G06N10/80, G06N10/20, H04L9/08

CPC Code(s): G06N10/80

Abstract: a system and method for providing quantum entanglement-as-a-service and simultaneously producing verifiably random sequences of numbers are described. when distributing quantum entanglement between customers alice and bob, alice and bob may exchange information pertaining to a measurement basis that they respectively used when performing measurements using respective halves of entangled particles. when customer alice, for example, determines that both alice and bob have performed a given measurement in a same measurement basis, said result may be used in a quantum key distribution (qkd) code. when customer alice determines that they have not performed the given measurement in the same measurement basis, alice may concatenate said portion of the results into a private and verifiable sequence of random numbers. providing distributed quantum entanglement therefore results in both a qkd code between said customers and in respective private and verifiably random sequences of numbers.

20250131921. NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING USING CONTEXT_simplified_abstract_(amazon technologies, inc.)

Inventor(s): Da Teng of Sammamish WA US for amazon technologies, inc., Adrian Evans of Lake Tapps WA US for amazon technologies, inc., Naresh Narayanan of Seattle WA US for amazon technologies, inc.

IPC Code(s): G10L15/183, G10L15/22, G10L17/22

CPC Code(s): G10L15/183

Abstract: this disclosure proposes systems and methods for processing natural language inputs using data associated with multiple language recognition contexts (lrc). a system using multiple lrcs can receive input data from a device, identify a first identifier associated with the device, and further identify second identifiers associated with the first identifier and representing candidate users of the device. the system can access language processing data used for natural language processing for the lrcs corresponding to each of the first and second identifiers, and process the input data using the language processing data at one or more stages of automatic speech recognition, natural language understanding, entity resolution, and/or command execution. user recognition can reduce the number of candidate users, and thus the amount of data used to process the input data. dynamic arbitration can select from between competing hypotheses representing the first identifier and a second identifier, respectively.

20250131923. PRESENCE-BASED APPLICATION INVOCATION_simplified_abstract_(amazon technologies, inc.)

Inventor(s): Apoorv Naik of Carlsbad CA US for amazon technologies, inc., Mihail C. Dinescu of Seattle WA US for amazon technologies, inc., Bharath Bhimanaik Kumar of Sammamish WA US for amazon technologies, inc., Matthew Todd Kaufman of Bonny Doon CA US for amazon technologies, inc., Ganesha Batta of Pleasanton CA US for amazon technologies, inc.

IPC Code(s): G10L15/22, H04W4/02

CPC Code(s): G10L15/22

Abstract: systems and methods for presence-based application invocation are disclosed. for example, presence of a personal device and/or user associated with a personal device is detected at a primary device. when account data associated with the personal device and the primary device correspond, checks are performed to determine if automatic invocation of an application associated with the personal device should be performed. those checks include determining whether one or more conditions are satisfied, determining current usage of the application and/or the primary device indicates desirability to automatically invoke the application, and/or whether the application has been enabled for use on the primary device.

20250133016. INTERFACES TO MANAGE INTER-REGION CONNECTIVITY FOR DIRECT NETWORK PEERINGS_simplified_abstract_(amazon technologies, inc.)

Inventor(s): Andrew J. Doane of Vienna VA US for amazon technologies, inc., Kevin Christopher Miller of Herndon VA US for amazon technologies, inc., David B. Lennon of Reston VA US for amazon technologies, inc.

IPC Code(s): H04L45/302, H04L45/00, H04L45/02, H04L45/033, H04L45/42

CPC Code(s): H04L45/306

Abstract: methods and apparatus for interfaces to manage inter-regional connectivity for direct network peerings. a system may include a connectivity coordinator, a first resource collection in a first geographical zone and a second resource collection in a second geographical zone. the coordinator implements a programmatic interface defining connectivity operations. the coordinator receives a request via the interface to establish a logically isolated network path to the second resource collection on behalf of a client that has a dedicated physical link set up to connect to the first resource collection. in response to the request, the coordinator performs one or more configuration operations to enable traffic to flow from the client's network to the second resource collection over a logically isolated network path using the dedicated physical link.
