a gaming machine comprises a cabinet defining an internal space and a display mountable to the cabinet. the display at least partly covers the internal space in a closed position and is hingedly connected to the cabinet. the display is pivotable about a first hinge in an upward direction from the closed position to a first position. the display is also pivotable in a downward direction about a second hinge from the first position to a second position. the display in the second position enables easier access to the internal space and the rear of the display for maintenance tasks. the display may also be removed from the cabinet in the second position.
