TECHNIQUES FOR HANDLING OVERLAPPING UPLINK TRANSMISSIONS ASSOCIATED WITH DIFFERENT TIMING ADVANCE GROUPS

Abstract: methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. in some aspects, a user equipment (ue) may receive first control signaling from a first transmission and reception point (trp) scheduling a first uplink transmission from the ue to the first trp and may receive second control signaling from a second trp scheduling a second uplink transmission from the ue to the second trp. the first trp and the second trp may be associated with different timing advance groups (tags) and the ue and the multiple trps may employ a transmission rule-based procedure according to which the ue and the multiple trps are able to resolve any potential overlapping between uplink transmissions associated with the first tag and uplink transmissions associated with the second tag based on one or both of logical time and actual time.
