USER EQUIPMENT, BASE STATION, AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD

Abstract: a wireless communication method for execution by a user equipment (ue) is provided. the ue receives a radio resource control (rrc) message with a small data transmission (sdt) configuration for the ue. the ue measures and stores a first reference signal received power (rsrp) upon receiving the rrc message and measures a second rsrp upon initiating sdt. the ue transmits uplink small data via random access small data transmission (ra-sdt) when a first portion of criteria associated with an sdt threshold for ra-sdt is satisfied, while an rsrp difference between the first rsrp and the second rsrp does not satisfy a second portion of the criteria associated with sdt threshold.
