Abstract: a video coder may be configured to receive a transform unit of video data, and may determine, based on a quantization index, a context for coding a syntax element indicative of a level value of a transform coefficient in the transform unit of video data. the quantization index may be based on a state of a quantization process. the video coder may then code the syntax element based on the context.
