Abstract: provided in the present disclosure are a method, an apparatus and a controller for fault detection of an uninterruptible power supply. a second terminal of a mains power switch device in the uninterruptible power supply is electrically connected to a corresponding battery switch device. before the mains power switch device is closed, a comparison is made, by the controller, between the voltage value of the second terminal of the mains power switch device and the voltage value of the battery positive access terminal/battery negative access terminal associated with the mains power switch device. in a case where the absolute value of the difference between the two voltages is less than or equal to the first preset voltage difference, it is determined that the absolute value of the originally large voltage difference is reduced due to a failure of the battery switch device.
