Abstract: an overshoot protection circuit, a method, and a chip. the overshoot protection circuit includes: a low drop regulator (ldo), a reference source circuit, a switching controller, and a rough reference voltage generation circuit. the switching controller is configured to control the ldo to be connected to the rough reference voltage generation circuit in a first stage of power supply signal change, connected to the reference source circuit in a second stage of power supply signal change. the rough reference voltage generation circuit is configured to generate a first preset reference voltage, and the reference source circuit is configured to generate a second preset reference voltage; in the first stage, the switching controller is configured to electrically connect the ldo to the first preset reference voltage; in the second stage, the switching controller is configured to electrically connect the ldo to the second preset reference voltage.
