MULTI-CANCER DETECTION
Abstract: a method of detecting whether or not a subject has a cancer irrespective of the stage or type of cancer comprises performing an ir spectroscopic analysis comprising wavelengths between 400 4000 cmon a blood sample from the subject, to produce a spectroscopic signature characteristic of the blood sample, wherein said spectroscopic signature of the blood sample is analysed against representative signatures from previous subjects with and without cancer, wherein the subjects with cancer comprise subjects with different types of cancer and different stages of cancer, in order to detect whether or not the subject has a cancer, based upon the spectroscopic signature obtained from the subject.
