Abstract: in one aspect, the disclosure relates to articles comprising: a cloth comprising a first yarn, wherein the first yarn is treated with a thermochromic pigment. also disclosed herein are articles comprising a cloth comprising a primary layer and at least one additional layer; the primary layer comprising a first yarn, and the additional layer comprising a second yarn. also disclosed herein is a method comprising interweaving a first yarn and a second yarn together to produce a primary layer of a cloth, wherein the first yarn is treated with a thermochromic pigment and the first yarn changes from a first color to a second color upon reaching a temperature threshold; and interweaving a third yarn to produce at least one additional layer of the cloth this abstract is intended as a scanning tool for searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
