Abstract: a pump includes a container that has an interior volume for holding a substance. there is at least one outlet that is associated with the interior volume for discharging the substance. a driver is disposed in the interior volume. the driver has a stored potential energy that is releasable as kinetic energy and, upon release, the driver expands against the substance in the interior volume and thereby discharge the substance through the at least one outlet.
