ENDOLUMINAL STOMA DEVICE

Abstract: a waste collection system for collecting waste from a body of a patient. the waste collection system includes: an endoluminal stoma channel having a resilient deformable inner ring, an outer ring, a flexible polymer sleeve made from a biocompatible polymer and interconnecting the inner ring and the outer ring; an inner colostomy bag which can be detachably attached to the outer ring to collect and contain the waste; and a cover which can engage the outer ring in a sealed engagement, and where a portion of the flexible polymer sleeve and the inner ring are configured for insertion into a stoma formed in the body of the patient.
