Abstract: provided is a display device. the display device includes a display panel including a light transmission area having subpixels for displaying image, a backplate disposed below the display panel, a protective layer disposed below the backplate, a heat dissipation sheet disposed below the protective layer, and an optical device disposed below the display panel and configured to overlap the light transmission area, in which the protective layer and the heat dissipation sheet respectively include openings that overlap the light transmission area. therefore, the protective layer may absorb an external impact which may be applied during a process of joining the heat dissipation sheet, thereby reducing or minimizing a degree to which the backplate is dented.
